YOUR DETAILS, TREATED WITH CARE
Privacy at the society.
Leeds Intelligence Society is a new, independent initiative organised by Drew Thomas. This notice explains what happens when you leave your details here.
What we collect
The joining form asks for your name and email. You can also choose to tell us your interests, preferred evening and what you would like to explore. The support form can include your organisation and what you would like to offer.
We record the time of your submission and the wording version of your contact permission. Please leave out sensitive personal information about yourself or other people.
What we use it for
If you join, the organiser can contact you about the first gathering and related society updates. If you offer support or make an enquiry, your details are used to respond to it. The form records your interest; it does not book a place at an event.
Your details are visible to the organiser. They are not published on the website, sold, or shared with sponsors. New submissions are sent to Formspree, which processes them for the organiser and may deliver email notifications according to the organiser’s form settings. A copy is also stored through our website hosting providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, for the private organiser desk. See Formspree’s privacy policy for its handling of form data.
Your choice
Contact permission is optional in the sense that you can browse and share this website without providing any information. To ask us to keep you updated or reply to your enquiry, tick the relevant permission box when submitting.
When the website copy is saved, you receive a private link that lets you remove that copy. Keep the link somewhere safe. This link does not delete copies in Formspree or the organiser’s email inbox. To withdraw contact permission and request removal from those places too, use the support form and select “Privacy request”. If you submitted both a joining request and a support enquiry, each has its own link.
If you have lost your link, want to correct details, or have another privacy question, use the support form and select “Privacy request”. The organiser may need to confirm that you control the email address before acting.
How long we keep it
We keep details while they are useful for organising the society and responding to enquiries. We will review the list as the society develops. You can withdraw your permission at any time by making a privacy request. The organiser will also remove relevant copies from Formspree, their inbox and any exports. The private removal link immediately deletes only the website copy.
Cookies and protection
The form uses a short-lived, essential security cookie. To limit spam, the server keeps a hashed request identifier and a request count for up to two hours. Our hosting providers may also process technical logs to operate and protect the service. We have not added advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
Organiser access uses ChatGPT sign-in. Visitors do not need an account to join the list.
